The people having Polymyositis face difficulty in climbing stairs, lifting objects and rising from a seating position due to lack of strength in muscles. The disease can be managed effectively with proper medication and self-care.
Symptoms

Treatment
There is no permanent cure but the medication includes Anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive medicines which help to reduce the symptoms and manage the disease. Therapies like physical therapy and heat therapy will help to relieve pain and improve the smooth functioning of the muscles. Special devices or Braces help to support the muscles and its movement.
Stretching the muscles and applying the heat packs on the affected areas helps to reduce the muscle pain and increases the ease in movement of the body.
